<Hex> is a hexadecimal number.
Hexadecimal numbers incorporate a range 0 to 15 an are represented by the numbers 0 to 9 and the letters A to F. As Traffic is mostly case independent (the only differences are some built-in track bed pictures), you can use lower case letters too.
