Value for the initial speed and for the top speed of the vehicle.

This is a default value; it will be used, if the speed parameter(s) ( for example: V= , V1= ) in the movement command are missing. If more than one vehicle in a train has this modifier, the value from the rightmost vehicle, which defines it, will be used. It is intended that only locomotives and self-propelled railcars carry this modifier - but Traffic itself does not know the type of the vehicle.

Traffic is not a train simulator. It is not intended to correctly simulate the dynamic behavior of the trains. There is no way to control the speed or acceleration depending on the vehicles coupled to a locomotive.
